i think if i better understood what causes my focus on certain things it might make life easier... i started 2010 with a yoga class... not the traditional yoga i have done before but a so called "hot yoga" class... so designated because of a searing heat... anyway, afterward i did feel a sense of calm, what some might say focus. there was a peace involved... i am curious to see if this continues. in the process, i now wonder if this elusive "peace" is much more chemical than i had earlier imagined. what i mean, it is not about the situation or circumstance, but much more related to the way my brain or body chemistry responds... and if it is chemistry, does that mean it is easier or more difficult to achieve? my 2010 is about knowledge.. i think it's time to figure out how i work, how my brain works, how my emotions work... i think after 42 years i need to look under the hood, kick the tires and rev the engine. my 2010 is about knowledge about revelations, about listening to myself... the real me, not those things that have driven me in the past, not those things that derail my happiness, but that chemistry set i call a brain, emotion a soul that's where i'm listening, that's where i'm curious to hear what's happening. that's my 2010.
